StratusLog

Flight school operations software

Run your flight school
from the ramp.

Scheduling, logbook, maintenance, and billing in one app. Log the lesson, and the student’s invoice is on their phone before you’ve tied down.

Nothing charged for 30 days. Cancel anytime. Built for Part 61 and Part 141 schools.

Built inside our own flight school by the team behind Stratus Marketing.

Why schools pick StratusLog.

Six things the app does differently, each shown in the app itself. Every one has its own page.

Real screens from the app.

  1. 01Scheduling

    Group texts and a whiteboard

One board that catches the double-booking.

Before a lesson saves, the board checks the plane, the instructor, and the student, and shows you the conflict.

    More on scheduling

  2. 02Logbook

    Paper, then typing it again

One entry. The logbook fills itself in.

The flight, the student's hours, the plane's meters, and the bill all come from the same sheet. Nothing is typed twice.

    More on logbook

  3. 03Student billing

    Chasing invoices for weeks

Paid before the student leaves the ramp.

The payment link lands on their phone in seconds. Paid flips on its own, and reminders go out without anyone asking.

    More on student billing

  4. 04Instructor payouts

    A month-end spreadsheet

Instructor pay, straight to their bank.

A rate per instructor, a line per flight, and payouts through Stripe. The owner sees everyone. Each instructor sees only their own.

    More on instructor payouts

  5. 05Fleet & maintenance

A clipboard by the hangar door

Every plane's hours, live, with the 100-hour counting down.

Meters update from every flight. Ground a plane and the board stops offering it.

    More on fleet & maintenance

  6. 06Accounts & permissions

One login the whole school shares

Everyone gets their own view. Nobody gets yours.

Students confirm lessons and pay from their own portal. Instructors see their lessons and their earnings. Owners see all of it.

Why we built it

Built inside a flight school, by the people who market them.

We run Stratus Marketing, the agency that fills flight-school calendars. That puts us in operators’ offices every day, and one of us owns a school. We kept watching the same problems eat the same afternoons, and nothing we could buy fit how a school actually runs. So we built the thing we wished we could hand every operator we work with.

  1. What we kept seeing

The instructor writes the flight on paper. The office types it again for the invoice. The student pays next week, if someone remembers to ask.

    What we built

One entry. The invoice reaches the student's phone before they've tied down, and paid flips on its own.

  2. What we kept seeing

Instructor pay gets reconciled from memory at the end of the month, from texts and a spreadsheet.

    What we built

Every flight adds to the instructor's earnings the moment it's logged. Payouts go straight to their bank.

  3. What we kept seeing

Nobody knows the plane's real Hobbs until the mechanic asks, and the 100-hour sneaks up.

    What we built

Meters update from every flight. The fleet page counts down to the next inspection and says so early.

  4. What we kept seeing

Three group texts to book one lesson, and a plane double-booked anyway.

    What we built

One board that checks the aircraft, the instructor, and the student before a booking can save.

The same team runs the marketing for flight schools.

Websites, ads, and follow-up that keep a school’s calendar full. StratusLog is what runs the school once the students arrive.

STRATUSMARKETING

One lesson, start to finish.

This is what happens to a single flight in StratusLog. Nothing is typed twice.
